Nathaniel McLeroy

Outreach & Engagement Director

Nathaniel comes to SFY with an eclectic background. Nathaniel spent six years in the Navy before he left to study Human Behavior at UMass, Boston. After graduating he became a youth and family specialist working in a wide-array of capacities from teaching and counseling to national program development. He has spent the last 12 years supporting social-emotional literacy and identity development in the most neglected communities from Massachusetts to California. As a teen he experienced homelessness and poverty in some of the country’s poorest and most dangerous neighborhoods, making this work especially important and meaningful for him. When he isn’t working he spends as much time as he can outside and traveling.
