Video: JJJ

This short film depicts Juvenile Justice JeopardyTM (JJJ) in action. We developed the JJJ game to engage youth to avoid arrest in typical interactions with police and how to both understand and use their rights properly. The game uses: (1) scenarios and skits engaging youth to act out and analyze how their behavior influences outcomes in typical interactions with police, and (2) fun, Jeopardy-style software which provides visual depictions of questions and answers to important legal questions that help kids both see and hear which answers are correct. The responses and comments of the youth in this film, shot in 2011, at City Schools in Dorchester, a neighborhood of Boston, are typical of the intensity of the interactions that occur during the playing of JJJ.
