Susan Lowe, MSA, CPA, CGMA

Board Treasurer

Susan Lowe is the Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for Riverside Community Care, a large behavioral healthcare and human services nonprofit in Massachusetts. As part of the executive management team, she focuses on strategy, finance and accounting, and IT. In addition to her role on the SFY board, she serves as Treasurer/CFO for the Board of Directors for Pitch in for Baseball/Softball.

Her most recent experiences prior to joining Riverside were as the Chief Financial Officer for various non-profit organizations including HCS, Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, Physicians for Human Rights, FSG an international non-profit consulting firm and The Children’s Communication Center, where she focused on strategy and she led finance and accounting, IT, administration, operations and human resources. Earlier in her career she held various roles in management and finance in the for-profit and not-for profit sectors, including experiences in environmental engineering, software development, retail and membership-based organizations. She served as treasurer for a nonprofit focusing on special needs children in South Africa, served on the finance committees for a nonprofit focusing on environmental and disabled services issues, and has consulted with various nonprofits on matters of strategy, policy setting, accounting and operations.

Susan holds a Master’s of Science in Accountancy and Business Ethics from Bentley University; a Graduate Certificate in Management and Administration from Harvard University’s Extension School and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Political Science and Economics from Bucknell University.  She is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts.
